Yes, now you can performs large silent installs across several computers at once.

Download the last NeuLog software from the Downloads page and then run the software with option “-silent”. like this:

No. The NeuLog WiFi module creates it’s own WiFi hot spot and can be used anywhere, no internet required. All of the software to run up to 5 sensors is on the WiFi Module.

You will need one of NeuLog’s communication Modules to connect your sensor(s) to the computer, smart phone or tablet. if you want to be directly connected to a computer, you will want to get NeuLog’s USB Module, which allows you to connect up to 20 sensors. If you want to work wirelessly, use the NeuLog WiFi module and a battery module. These work with up to 5 sensors

NeuLog sensors work with any device with Wi-Fi technology. You can use our WiFi module to create a Wi-Fi hotspot to which up to 20 devices can connect to. You can also choose to work with a PC or Mac directly (with a USB module). Our software can be downloaded for FREE.

Yes, NeuLog is platform agnostic. It works with any OS, on any device. The browser based software works on most popular browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox); we recommend Chrome as it seems to work the best.

It depends on how many sensors are connected and what kind. Also, the WiFi module uses more battery life than a sensor by itself. If you use specific sensors, contact our tech support team; they will calculate the battery life for you.

Yes, the NeuLog WiF Module works with any Wi-Fi enabled device. You just need to connect to the Wi-Fi hotspot, then log into WIFI201.com in your browser; you will be able to view and collect data on your phone! Up to 20 people can log in at one time, but only one will be controlling the experiment. The other 19 will view the data, but control can be handed off between users.

An on line experiment is when your sensor is connected (either through USB or WiFi) and you collect and view data in real time. An off line experiment is when you set up a sensor and then connect it to a battery module to collect data over time, to be viewed and analyzed later.

If you use the sensors with the USB module connected to your computer, you will not need a battery. If you use one of the other communication modules (WiFi, RF, Display) or if you want to do off line experiments, you will need a NeuLog battery module which is rechargeable with a USB to micro cable.

You can save your experiments by using the export icon (save value table CSV, or save graph image (PNG)). The CSV file can be opened by the NeuLog software and Excel. This quick guide explains how to do that. The PNG image can be opened by graphic files programs.

With the WiFi module, experiments can be performed through any device which uses the Wi-Fi technology, such as iPads and Tablets with Android, PC computers with Windows / Linux or Macintosh with OS. These quick guides explain how to set up the WiFi module with an iPad and a Chromebook but the instructions are similar for all the devices.

Yes, but you must download the software from www.neulog.com/software in order to access your sensors; you will not be able to use them through the wifi201 website. You must also put your WiFi module into USB mode by pressing the button three times. Once the yellow light is on continuously, your WiFi module is in USB mode.

NeuLog API (beta)

This Application Programming Interface (API) specifies how any software should interact with NeuLog sensors. The API is based on HTTP protocol and can be accessed from any software like C, C++, Python, JS, Java and many more. Also, Microsoft Word™ and Acrobat™ can be used to control the sensors.

USB, Battery & RF modules

  • USB module (USB-200) provides both power from the PC to the sensors and the communication between them.

WiFi-201

  • The WiFi communication module (WiFi-201)connects wirelessly a NeuLog sensor or chain of sensors to any Wi-Fi system such as iPADs, Android tablets, smart phones, Windows, MAC or Linux PC’s.
  • Any popular browser program can be used. Just plug and surf. No software installation is required.
  • The teacher can view the student’s experiment in remote. Students can view the teacher’s experiment on their tablets.

Graphic display module VIEW-101

  • A simple and intuitive operation: experiment setup can be programmed by using the module’s touch screen.
  • Displays experiments with up to five logger sensors in a chain.

Digital display module VIEW-200

 

  • The VIEW-200 automatically searches for the connected sensors and displays one of them digitally. Scrolling for displaying the reading of another sensor is done by pressing the pushbutton switch on the display module.
